Taylor Swift - Mine

Why are you sharing this song?

I am sharing this song for two reasons, one is that I am such a big fan of Taylor Swift;
Two is the lyrics of this song is beautiful and I can picture this story by her lyrics.
Besides, it was so hard for me to choose one song of hers to write this assignment
because the lyrics of her songs are always meaningful and you can realize what she
felt and what she wanted to convey by songs that she wrote.
But I choose this one to dedicate to people who will find the best thing of their life.

What is the meaning of the lyrics?

This song is a story about a girl who came from unhappy family,
that her parents' had quarrel with each other all the time in her memory,
which made her wonder why people bother with love if it never last?
She met a boy that she could picture her future with him and
he made a rebel of a careless man of careful daughter so she said to him,
"You are the best thing that's ever been mine."
Although they got nothing figure out sometimes,
the good things between them, for example,
they were sitting there by the water, and he put his arm around
her for the first time, gave her power to carry on.
A fight happened in 2:30 am which everything were out of their control,
all of she has knew and learned from her parents' experience was
that she needed to say goodbye to him and ran way,
but he ran after her and said, "I will never leave you alone."
And he also replied what she asked in the chorus,
"I remember how we felt sitting by the water,
and every time I look at you is like the first time
I fell in love with careless man's careful daughter ,
she is the best thing that's ever been mine."
After listening to this kind of love confession,
the girl could see their future and she thought they would
go through every problems in the future together.

What a beautiful and romantic song!
Hope you will like it as much as I do.

Coke Zero Commercial:AND?

What is happening in the commercial?

It started with a boy wanted something more about his ice cream,
so when ice cream shopper handed ice cream without any candy or
chocolate on it to him, "and?" he asked.
Then, ice cream shopper add something on his ice cream.
Second, after seeing a dog which could ride a skater, the teenager asked,"and?"
The dog turned out to be a shut dog.
When the teenager grew up to be an adult, he took a job offer and asked,
"and?" His boss promised he for giving him a bright future.
After seeing these, we could suggest that he was a man who wants
something more because he always asked,"and?".
However, once he drunk Coke, before he asked,"and?" he found that on its
bottle "real coke taste AND zero calorie!"
It was first time that someone gave him more
before he asked so he was very happy and said thank you to Coke zero.

What is the product or service?

Coke Zero

Who is the target audience?

People who like Coke Cola but don't want to get fat.

What emotions does it use to persuade the reader to buy the product or service? (fear, guilt, excitement, humor, etc.)

I Think it was excitement because people want to see what's going to happen after we ask,"and?"
The plots were funny too. Moreover,This commercial is short but it was quiet catchy.

Does it do a good job in persuading the watcher to buy the product? Why or why not?

I think it did a good job because what happened in this commercial
it what actually happened in our daily life,
we tend to want something but sometimes we were too shy to ask or
we just want someone can realize that what we need/want before we asked.

SAFARI YELLOWSTONE - Grizzlies and Moose

Why am I sharing this documentary?

Before I watched this video,I haven't known that  Yellowstone is home to a large variety of mammals, birds, fish, reptiles and amphibians, many of which migrate within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
I think it's kind of interesting that the describer said there's a easiest way to find out where the wildlife are is where the people are, and there is no place like this in Taiwan.

Summary of the documentary:

This video is one of safari Yellowstone series, it's about Grizzles and moose. They(the describers and his friends)drove the car to the west entrance of Yellowstone and found out where people were
was where wildlife were, they took a lot of pictures to these iconic wildlife in Yellowstone
like bison, the bald eagles in the blue sky ,etc. Before making a u-turn to the entrance,
they found a Grizzly Discover Center and there was a broad of the map about where the bears
recently spotted. There was some bears in this center and there were some traps there
because the bears just killed the hikers.
Mt.Haynes Area is a naturally reseeded by wildlife in 1988 and describers found some male
deer of which they took a lot of pictures. And at Great Village there was another traffic jam
since there was another male deer spotted, also, the research found out these male deer
tend to group up with other male deer in attempt to keep them protection up.
They drove to Grand teton for searching for moose, they followed the footprints and
waited for longtime to see moose and finally they saw some,
and they went back with full happiness.

I love this balance of Yellowstone,
"try to let people appreciate the world around and not to get hurt."
and Yellowstone is the special place for people and wildlife.

Ted's Talk-Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are

Summery

Powerful posture is about take up space and open out while powerless posture is about close up and wrap ourselves up. You will post a powerful posture if you are pride or confident, vice versa. So we can say,"Your mind changes you body." but on the other side, can we say that our body change our mind?
The answer is yes, based on the experiment that social psychologist Amy Cuddy took who was the speaker of this speech. When you post a powerful posture for two minutes, it leads to the hormonal changes, and change how you feel.
She said,"Fake it till make it,then become it!" Your body changes your mind, and your mind changes your behavior and changes the outcome like getting hired after a successful interview.

What can listeners learn from this talk?

Before an interview, you should take two minutes to post some powerful posture
since your body changes your mind.
When you go into the room for interview you might feel confident instead of being nervous.
And there is one more thing  I truly learned for this speech!
That's is,"Fake it till make it,then become it!"
You may think that you can't make it before a presentation but you just need to go there
and stand up then do your presentation acting like you can do it well.
At first, you are faking but as times go by you make it,
finally you become it. You become the person who get appulse because of a great performance.

How to Make Stress Your Friend

Ted talks: How to Make Stress Your Friend

Summary
The speaker is. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal
Stress is usually view as bad for health, but what decides stress is bad or good maybe depend on how
you think about stress. In a study conducted by Harvard University, before they went through the social
stress tests they were taught to rethink their stress response is helpful that pounding heart is preparing you for action if you’re breathing faster, it’s getting more oxygen to your brain and participants who learned to view the stress response as helpful for their performance well. There's another reason is that when you think your
stress as helpful, your blood vessel relaxed which reduce chance of getting heart attack or stroke.
Besides, Oxytocin makes you to do things that strengthen close relationships, it makes you crave physical contact with your friends and family it makes you more willing to help and support the people you care about. When oxytocin releases as a response to stress it’s motivating you to seek support,  to surrounded by people who care about you.And it's in the some point reduce your stress.
Your pounding physical heart working so hard to give you strength and energy and when you choose to view stress in this way you’re not just getting better at stress actually making a pretty profound statement,
you are saying that you trust yourself that you can handle life’s challenges and you don’t have to face them alone.

What can listeners learn from this talk?

I think that whether stress is good for your health or not all depend on how you think about it, this speech has given me a whole new appreciation for stress. Next time, when the situation is out of control, I am going to think to myself,"This is my body helping me rise to this challenge" and when I view stress in that way and my body will  believes me and my stress response become healthier.
Oxytocin, you release more of this hormone then your stress response becomes healthier, and you actually recover faster from stress.
when you think your stress as helpful you create the biology of courage
and when you choose to connect with others under stress you can create stress resilience.

Movie Trailer-The Holiday

Why did you select this trailer to show the class?

Romantic comedy is always the type of movie I'd love to watch, and I love the movie that you can connect with because you are one of the character in this movie, you can feel the same way with those characters.
You can reflect on the mistakes characters made in their story,
or you can just take a chance like these two women in The Holiday.
Step out your comfort zone, run away from something you stick in.

Based on the trailer, what do you think the movie is about?

These two women in the movie seem to have the same question about relationships and have come up with same solution. They exchanged everything with each other for two weeks, but they didn't know what would happen about this decision!  "Can a change of address change your life?"However, these two women found out something more important than what they cared before and will they have a happier life?
